Principal - Dr. Alicia Burford

It is such an honor to be the Principal of Walker Park Elementary and I am thankful to serve such an amazing group of children, parents, faculty, and community stakeholders. Words cannot express the level of excitement and anticipation I have for this school year. The Walker Park staff and I are dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded educational experience. Together as a school community, I look forward to building upon the traditions of the past and meeting the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways.

Being an alumnus of Walton County Schools and a long-time Walton County educator, I take personal pride in continuing the record of excellence that has existed for decades within our school system. I began teaching special education at Loganville Middle School in 2004 before serving as the special education instructional specialist. In 2010, I began my career in administration as an assistant principal at Youth Middle School until transitioning to the district office in 2014 as a special education coordinator. 

I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve within the Monroe cluster. Should you ever need me, please do not hesitate to reach out. As a member of the Walker Park community, you are family and important to us.

Assistant Principal - Courtney Jones

She’s no stranger to our school community, having served in one of our 4th grade classrooms with passion and dedication. Now, we're thrilled to announce she’s stepping into an exciting new role as Assistant Principal! 

We’re so lucky to have her leadership, heart, and experience guiding us forward. Congratulations, Mrs. Jones! 

"I could not be more excited and honored to serve the Walker Park community as the new Assistant Principal!  This is my 22nd year in elementary education and will be my 5th year at The Park.  My husband, Josh, and I have two children at Walker Park who will be in 1st and 2nd grade. I can't wait to work alongside and support the students, staff and parents here at The Park!"
